Designed by Julieta BalaschThe Copenhagen Catalan Film Festival is a cultural event dedicated to high-quality Catalan films. Established in 2013, the festival has year after year showcased Catalan productions in their original language with English subtitles. The films presented are mainly funded by Catalan film producers and offer excellent, thought-provoking stories. It is organised by CatalansDK and run by volunteers, with the support of the Government of Catalonia.
In this 12th edition of the festival, we invite the audience to explore contemporary Catalan cinema through a selection of films and a documentary that analyse family and human relationships from different perspectives. From intimate family stories to narratives of resilience, the programme aims to bring the richness and plurality of today’s Catalan cinema to the Copenhagen audience.
In addition to the screenings, the festival programme also includes tastings of Catalan products, Q&A sessions with some of the directors, and live music. We hope you will be just as excited as we are about this year’s programme — discover the full line-up below.
