Synopsis:
First fiction film in Spanish and Catalan directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu, following his debut “Amores Perros,” released in 2010. It was selected for the official competition at the Cannes Film Festival, and its protagonist, actor Javier Bardem, won the Best Actor award.
 
“Biutiful” tells the story of Uxbal, a divorced father with two young children living in deep economic and social precarity. In his struggle to survive and improve the living conditions of his children, he is diagnosed with a terminal illness. On the brink of death, Uxbal tries to rebuild his life.
